About the Guest
David Winston is the pastor of Go Hard for Christ Youth Ministry at Living Word Christian Center and the director of Bill Winston Ministries, a worldwide outreach ministry.  Both ministries are based in Forest Park, Illinois. In these roles, Pastor David has dedicated himself to planting and advancing the kingdom of God in the hearts of people around the world. During his senior year of college, after applying to medical school to become a cardiologist, Pastor David heard the voice of God calling him to ministry, “You had planned to heal hearts in the natural, but I have called you to heal hearts in the spirit.” At the age of 22, Pastor David accepted the call and began pursuing his Master of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma.While at ORU, Pastor David met his lovely wife, Niki, and together they now have four children, Jacob, Jordan, Joshua, and Lily.In 2009, Pastor David and his wife started Go Hard for Christ Youth Ministry under the commission of his father, Dr. Bill Winston, pastor of Living Word Christian Center. Through Bible studies, events and media, Go Hard for Christ reaches thousands of youth with the transformational power of the Word of God. The ministry focuses on pointing young people to their purpose by revealing the truth of God’s Word. Pastor David holds an honorary doctorate in Christian Business Leadership from United Graduate College and Seminary International. In 2020, he created and launched an online leadership course called the Winston Leadership Institute. He is passionate about teaching and encouraging people of all ages how to have victory through Jesus Christ in every area of their lives, and how to discover and pursue their God-given destiny.

Previously, Dr. Thomas held leadership positions in brand management and strategic planning at Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox, Kraft Foods, and Sears Roebuck & Company.
Dr. Thomas was selected for a Notable Woman in Education Award in the May 28, 2018 edition of Crain's Chicago Business. Dr. Thomas authored the book, Awaken to Leadership and is a contributing author for the book titled, Organizational Metaphors - Faith as Key to Functional Organizations: Chapter Nine, Vineyard as a Metaphor.
Dr. Thomas holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Bentley University, a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard University Graduate School of Business, and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University. Dr. Thomas is happily married with children.

Know more about Destry:Destry Wilborn has served as a veteran of the Chicago Police Department for over 20 years. His experience on the front lines of one of the most dangerous, yet diverse cities in the country gave Destry Wilborn a veteran of the Chicago Police Department, serving for over 20 years. His frontline experiences in one of the country’s most complex cities exposed him to the deep impact of violence, igniting his journey to seek purpose. Through the Dr. Myles Munroe Mentorship Program, he found answers that shaped his passion for mentorship and empowerment.
For nearly a decade, Destry has been active in youth ministry at New Life Covenant Church under Pastor John Hannah, leading the Boys 2 Men program. His dedication to transforming young men into strong, purpose-driven leaders led him to found Men of Purpose, Journey to Self-Discovery (MOP)—a mentorship initiative equipping men to become self-sufficient and mentor others in return.
A former wrestling coach in Chicago Public Schools, Destry recognized early on that fatherlessness is a major issue in inner-city communities. He has since devoted his life to becoming a father figure to the fatherless, turning coaching into mentorship and mentorship into discipleship.
Destry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sociology & Political Science from Lewis University and a Master’s in Public Safety Administration from Calumet College of St. Joseph. He is also trained in apologetics, having graduated from both Frank Turek’s Cross-Examined Instructor’s Academy (CIA) and RZIM’s Emerging Apologist Program (EAP).

Although her background includes roles as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant, she always felt called to something greater. That calling led her to special education, where she has dedicated the past ten years to supporting and empowering students with diverse learning needs. Through this journey, Bethsaida has discovered that her work is not just a career—it’s a purpose-driven mission that continues to shape and inspire her every day.

My father, the late Dr. Myles Munroe, once said, “The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life without purpose.” Those words have shaped my journey, and today, I want to help you shape yours.
In this debut episode, I take the hot seat (yes, my team insisted!) to share my personal journey—one of loss, resilience, and ultimately, purpose. I open up about the painful yet powerful transition after losing both my parents at the same time and how that moment of despair led me to a life of meaning and impact.
