What if purpose isn’t the thing you’re excited about but the thing you’re obedient to, even while hoping god chooses someone else?
In this episode of the Purpose Finder Podcast, I sat down with Pastor Joshua Williams for a conversation that stayed with me long after we wrapped.
We didn’t rush purpose or try to make it sound pretty. We talked about what it’s really like to say yes when you’re unsure, conflicted, and still figuring things out. We talked about obedience that isn’t loud or confident but real.
Josh shared how his yes to leadership wasn’t clean or exciting. It was Jonah-like. Obedient, but reluctant. Faithful, but wrestling. Saying yes while quietly hoping God might change His mind.
And still the purpose unfolded.
Not because everything made sense. Not because he felt ready. But because he stayed and kept showing up.
If you’ve ever felt called and confused at the same time…If you’ve ever said yes while still questioning…If you’ve ever wondered why purpose doesn’t always feel inspiring…
This conversation is for you.Timestamps:

The start of a new year invites reflection, but this episode calls for a decision.
This is not a conversation about resolutions or reinvention. It’s a call to carry yourself differently as you step into a new year with intention, clarity, and courage.
In this powerful New Year release, Charisa Munroe-Wilborn invites listeners to break cycles intentionally, not accidentally. Cycles formed by past decisions, delayed obedience, misplaced emotional access, and patterns that quietly keep us stuck. This episode challenges you to stop letting yesterday’s habits dictate today’s choices and instead, choose patterns that produce momentum, peace, and purpose.
This is an episode about three things: identity, obedience, and emotional authority. About no longer settling for unmet goals and unmet expectations and then apologizing for them. About choosing differently so you don’t have to explain later.

You are here, and I am so glad you are.
As this year comes to a close, I want to invite you into a personal conversation. In the episode, I share my reflections and the seven courageous decisions I am making as I conclude one year and step into the next season of life.
I titled this episode Ending the Year Unstoppable because we do not become unstoppable someday. We decide to become unstoppable now. This is not about resolutions or waiting for January, it is about making choices before the year ends that shift who we are, how we think, and how we move forward in purpose.
I walk through what I call the Seven (7) Courage Decisions That Shift Your Life and speak honestly about how procrastination, perfectionism, and waiting for the right time hold us back. Excellence moves. Perfection stalls. Once I chose excellence over perfection, doors began to open.
Ask yourself what you are still waiting for: clarity, confidence, approval, permission? The instruction has not changed. God is still saying start.
Courage Decision Six is the decision to raise your standard. Who you are becoming is what the world will experience. Raising your standard means no longer settling for mediocrity in how you think, show up, and protect your time. For me, this means recommitting to my health, discipline, and consistency as a wife and mother of two. You do not rise to the level of your goals, you rise to the level of your standard.
Courage Decision Seven is the decision to believe bigger not based on proof, but on trust in the God who placed purpose inside you. Bigger belief fuels movement, even before the outcome is visible. You do not need applause or validation, you only need belief.
I invite you to create a purpose contract with yourself: I choose courage. I choose purpose. I release what no longer serves me. I start what God told me to start. I raise my standard. I believe bigger.
This episode is an invitation to clarity, courage, and action. Decide now who you are becoming. Becoming unstoppable is not a personality trait, it is a choice, a lifestyle, and a commitment to purpose.

There’s a moment in every conversation where someone says something that makes you stop… and lean in a little closer. Today’s episode has a lot of those moments.
Because when my guest said, “In the preparation, there was hurt. And even after all the preparation… there were still ten years of pain,” that’s when I knew this wasn’t just another story about purpose. This was about the kind of pain people don’t post about. It was the kind of pain you carry quietly, while still trying to lead, love, provide, and show up.
And then he said something that stayed with me long after we stopped recording: “Out of this pain, I’m squeezing out passion. Out of this pain, I’m finding purpose.” And suddenly, everything clicked.
Because purpose isn’t born on mountaintops. Purpose is squeezed out in the dark. in the years you think God forgot your timeline, the years you think everyone else is moving while you’re stuck, the years you think you’re preparing, but really, He is preparing you.
And today’s guest, Dr. John Tyus, lived that. The pain. The waiting. The anxiety. The moments of “God, do you even see me?” The moments where home felt hard, marriage felt heavy, and identity felt shaken. Yet somehow, out of all of that came The I.D. Movement. Came the ministry he now leads. Came the book he’s writing. Came the man he has become.
This episode holds wisdom born from failure, faith, surrender, and maturity. And it carries a message every man needs to hear: it’s in you. It has always been in you, but only God can unlock it. Once you find Him, you find yourself. Once you pursue Him, purpose begins to pursue you.

Thursday Dec 11, 2025

On today’s episode of the Purpose Finder Podcast, we’re exploring a story shaped by faith, family, creativity, and history. Our guest grew up in a home where music and art were the heartbeat of daily life; her father directing choirs, her mother dancing, her siblings singing. Creativity wasn’t a performance; it was her family’s foundation, and it would later become her place of healing.
Her name is Dwania Kyles, and long before she understood the language of healing, she lived through one of the most pivotal moments in American history. At just twelve years old, she was helping prepare a simple pre-rally dinner for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a house full of movement leaders, food cooking in the kitchen, kids setting tables wherever they could. Meanwhile, her father was at the Lorraine Motel, talking and laughing with Dr. King minutes before the shot was fired. He was the first to reach him. And at home, all she remembers is her mother’s scream when the phone call came, and the grief that filled their house.
For years, Dwania carried the unspoken trauma of that day, her father’s nightmares, the fear of him traveling through dangerous states, and the silence that settled over their home as a form of protection. It wasn’t until adulthood, through breathwork and emotional healing, that she finally began to understand what her twelve-year-old body had been holding for decades.
Today, Dwania shares her story with us, not just as history, but as healing. She is a storyteller, a creative, and a guide whose depth and wisdom were shaped by a life few could ever imagine. And I believe her words will stay with you long after this episode ends.

About the Guest
Dwania Kyles, Civil Rights Advocate, Wellness Consultant and Breath Coach, is an alum of The Memphis 13, subject of the highly touted documentary by the same name chronicling the desegregation of Memphis City Public Schools in 1961 by thirteen, 5 and 6-year-old girls and boys, (dubbed “the smallest pioneers” of the Civil Rights Movement), in answer to the 1954 landmark decision by the U. S. Supreme Court on Brown v. Board of Education.
Ms. Kyles is also the eldest daughter of pioneer civil-rights activists, the late Gwendolyn Kyles and Rev. Samuel “Billy” Kyles, subject of the ’09 Oscar & ’10 Emmy nominated documentary, The Witness: From the Balcony of Room 306, that gives voice to her father’s memories, who on April 4, 1968, was the only other person on the balcony, with Dr. Martin Luther King when he was fatally shot, as she, her mother and siblings were prepared to receive Dr. King and the SCLC staff at their home for dinner.
An innocent participant of these two historical, yet traumatic events as a 5 and 12-year-old, it stands to reason why Ms. Kyles’ commitment to helping others connect or reconnect with their inner healer has been a lifelong passion. That same commitment paved the way on her personal journey to health and healing over the past 40 years.
As a wellness coach and educator, she seeks to inform on why the power of the breath, the belief system, laughter, and self-love are the first line of defense when on the path of true healing.

There are moments when someone speaks and it doesn’t just inspire you. It interrupts you. It confronts the idols you didn’t even realize you were holding. It exposes where you’ve been leaning on people instead of leaning on God. And suddenly, something inside you whispers, “If God doesn’t show up… I’m done.”This episode is one of those moments.Because here’s what I’ve learned in my own journey: God wants you. Not your performance. Not your connections. Not your work. Just you.Today, I’m sitting down with Amb. Charlie Masala, a man who walked closely with my father, Dr. Myles Munroe, for more than 27 years, and someone whose life embodies faithfulness, loyalty, and the courage to follow God no matter the cost.
Our conversation goes deep. We talk about obedience when it’s uncomfortable, serving when it’s unseen, navigating seasons of loss, and the moment God strips away every dependency so you remember who your true Source is.This episode will stir you, challenge you, and remind you of this simple truth that keeps echoing in my spirit:
Nothing in your life can stand, not purpose, not calling, not vision, unless God is at the center of it.Timestamps:

What does it really look like to walk with God when the spotlight is on you?
When your life, marriage, and faith are on display for the world to see, staying true to your calling takes courage and surrender. In this powerful episode, Rebecca King-Crews, actress, singer, pastor, and wife of Terry Crews, opens up about walking through public pain, private battles, and the process of letting God rebuild her from the inside out.
Through seasons of betrayal, healing, and redemption, Rebecca shares how faith, forgiveness, and obedience became the foundation for her transformation and how she learned that true success is not about fame or image but about becoming who God called you to be.
“Forgiveness is for your healing. Reconciliation takes two willing people.”
Her story shows that no matter how public the pain or how deep the breaking, God’s restoration runs deeper. This conversation invites you to see your own journey through the eyes of faith, healing, and becoming who you were always meant to be.

In this heartfelt episode of The Purpose Finder Podcast, we step inside the world of Theron and Antonia Feemster, a couple whose story reminds us that purpose and partnership aren’t separate paths but sacred parallels.
Theron shares how his return to faith led to an unexpected encounter that would shape his future, meeting Antonia, the pastor’s daughter, who would become his wife. What started as a spark of curiosity grew into a covenant built on love, alignment, and a shared vision to serve something bigger than themselves.
Now, 14 years, three children, and countless life lessons later, they reflect on what it means to grow together through seasons, not just go together through time.
Their story isn’t a highlight reel. It’s full of the honest, messy, beautiful work of learning from each other, from the early days of trying to merge opposite worlds (artist meets analytical mind), to learning new rhythms of love, to finding harmony on purpose.
They talk about water and seed, how love becomes the life force that nourishes everything else in their ecosystem: marriage, family, work, and calling. It’s the principle that keeps them grounded, growing, and full of wonder.
Antonia opens up about being an introvert paired with an expressive, extroverted husband and how Theron’s words and warmth cracked open a shell she didn’t realize she was hiding behind. “He has the parts that I need,” she shares, describing the ways their differences became divine design.
They reveal how their partnership evolved from creative clashes and growing pains (“You don’t build houses!” / “You don’t do music!”) to now merge their talents and businesses into one: Neuromonics, a fusion of sound, structure, and spirit. Their marriage became a living metaphor for what’s possible when two purposes intertwine instead of compete.

About the Guests
Theron Feemster is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and creative visionary whose journey from the global music industry back to faith reshaped his definition of purpose. A North Carolina native, he began playing piano and drums at the age of two and served as a musician in his father’s church where his love for sound was first awakened.
He went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where his passion for production was born. One of his earliest beats, made in his dorm room, became the theme song for Men in Black 2 with Will Smith, launching a career that led him to work with major artists like Will Smith and Macy Gray, and to serve as a musical director on global stages.
After years of touring, studio sessions, and mainstream success, Theron felt a deeper call to rediscover who he was beyond achievement and to realign with the One who gave him his gift. That search led him back to church after more than a decade away, a decision that not only reignited his spiritual life but also brought him face to face with the woman who would become his wife and purpose partner, Antonia.
Theron’s story is one of transformation, surrender, and spiritual creativity. Today, he continues to bridge art, sound, and faith through his work, inspiring others to find healing and divine alignment through authentic purpose.

Antonia Feemster is a builder, developer, and creative mind whose life embodies the beauty of quiet strength and spiritual grounding. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she brings both vision and compassion to her work as a real estate developer, creating affordable housing in Los Angeles and North Carolina with a mission to offer stability and dignity through design.
A pastor’s daughter with a heart for growth and transformation, Antonia approaches a purpose like architecture, intentionally, thoughtfully, and with an eye toward what lasts. Her curiosity about how buildings and resorts are made led her to pursue mentorship, hands-on internships, and real-world experience in property development.
She’s known for her calm wisdom, deep introspection, and gift for seeing potential in people, in ideas, and in what others overlook. Her partnership with Theron reflects her belief that love and purpose aren’t separate pursuits but sacred extensions of each other.
Together, they lead by example, showing how faith, humility, and shared vision can turn ordinary moments into extraordinary purpose.

This week’s episode… whew. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s such a beautiful reminder that God really does meet us right in the middle of our healing.
I sat down with Zemi Stewart, the amazing founder of Wife Her Ministry, and we talked about what it truly looks like to move from pain to purpose, not the “pretty Instagram version” of healing, but the real kind. The kind that happens in the quiet, in unexpected moments, and sometimes… in the middle of a facial.
Zemi opens up about her personal journey, the heartbreak, the surrender, and how God used even the most ordinary moments to bring her back to herself. We talked about what it means to release control, to trust God’s timing when nothing makes sense, and to keep showing up with faith even when you don’t have all the answers.
This conversation is a gentle reminder that healing isn’t linear, it’s layered, it’s sacred, and it’s deeply personal. Whether you’re in a season of waiting, rebuilding, or rediscovering who you are, Zemi’s story will speak to your heart and remind you that God wastes nothing.
If you’ve ever asked, “Where is God in this?”… this episode will remind you that He’s been right there all along, weaving purpose through every part of your process.

About the Guest
Zemi Stewart, formerly Zemi Holland, is the founder and lead curator of Wife Her Ministry—a thriving women’s group whose name stands for Wife, Heals, Empowered, Restored. Originally from Eleuthera, Bahamas, Zemi grew up as a quintessential barefoot island girl, climbing trees and running across rocks. Her journey has been marked by profound loss, including the passing of her mother at age 12, which set her on a path of emotional upheaval and searching for belonging.
Through years of personal challenges, from processing grief and navigating turbulent relationships (including surviving an abusive one), to rediscovering herself and her faith, Zemi built resilience by stabilizing her life through her relationship with the Lord and, later, through the partnership and support of her husband, Ian Stewart.
A daughter of God, Zemi centers her life and ministry around service, authenticity, and healing. Wife Her Ministry welcomes women across all marital statuses and is best known for its hallmark event, Galentine Vibes, now present in cities across North America, the Caribbean, and soon, Europe. Her commitment is to help women focus inward and upward, empowering them to be healed, restored, and equipped to weather life’s transitions.
Zemi loves serving, nurturing community, and sharing her journey in hopes of helping women turn their pain into purpose.

Friends, this episode is so close to my heart.
As many of you know, I grew up as the daughter of the late Dr. Myles Munroe, and with that came both incredible privilege and enormous pressure. Today, I sat down with someone who knows that journey all too well: Randal “Randy” McKoy, son of a bishop, grandson of a community leader, and a man who’s chosen to live boldly in his purpose.
Randy opens up about one of the most defining moments of his life, a breaking point that became his turning point. After years of trying to please his parents, church, and community, Randy found himself praying one night, “Lord, I gave it my best. I tried to make it all work, but it was not to be.” And in that moment, God led him to the story of Abraham and Isaac. Just as Abraham was willing to be obedient, even to the point of sacrifice, God reminded Randy: “Son, I see your heart. You’ve been trying to fit in, but it just won’t fit. I don’t want you to be them, I just want you to be you.”
That revelation closed a chapter Randy had been carrying for years, the chapter of people-pleasing, striving, and trying to fit in. He and his wife made the decision to finally let it go, and in doing so, Randy stepped into freedom, healing, and a whole new chapter of life.
